From time to time I have found in the workplace that people feel threathened by upbeat and happy people. Now, I'm not saying this is what is happening here. But, if you are beating the right beats, then , don't look back, keep on doing what you are doing to keep in good form. Don't mind the behaviour of others. (I'm not saying ignore these people as they are clearly on a journey with you) .
Decide where you want to be, then take the steps to be there. But, most important of all, believe that you can get you there.

The really cool thing about life is that it's all happening for you, not to you. So if your friends don't seem to like you when you are happy, it's all for you to be able to use towards your recovery if you choose.
What that could mean is looking at any reaction you have to them, like "they should like me more" or "they should be happier", or "these people don't like me when I'm happy". All thoughts that can be questioned.
Actually I don't even think we can choose not to head towards recovery, everything leads us there in the end. Acting out- leads us to the bottom, which leads us to recovery. Practising healthy living- leads us to more recovery. We can't lose. We sure can waste a lot of time though.
"You deserve better than something that may be comfortable for you but you already know doesn't work and that you'll be complaining about soon enough and hoping that something or someone else will do what you can't even do for yourself. You deserve better - you deserve change".
